Book 43 of 52 -- James Patterson's Swimsuit
I have read nearly all of Patterson's books and consider myself a fan.
His books generally are easy reads, and the short chapters often keep me up reading "just one more."
I found this book painful to read.
The opening chapters are so graphic and violent that I actually put the book away for several days being of the mind that I must finish every book except those I truly loathe, I finished it after reading a book about ZOMBIES.
However, I would find this book hard to recommend.
If you are new to Patterson books, try the Alex Cross novels, which have plenty of twists and turns (and a surprise ending) without the extreme gore.
