Up Moviegoing Experience

When we bought our tickets, the cashier asked us "Do you mind that it isn't in 3D?"

I said "No. How many theaters do you have here that show in 3D?"

"None."

Me later - "uh...why did she ask that if they don't even offer it?"

Since we were seeing a kid's movine, they played Regal First Look Play! which is designed for kids.

Previews
Shorts
G-Force
Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs
Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs
The Princess and the Frog

Up was an incredibly well made movie, but it really taped into your emotions. Plenty of people were crying like crazy and it was effective.

I might recommend it more than TW would since I think she might have felt it was more manipulative than heart warming.

No, I didn't think it was manipulative; it was a really good movie. But it made me bawl my eyes out, which I hadn't really anticipated.
