Typical Facebook Email

Just like the other 100+ million people in the world, I joined Facebook a little while ago.

I have been barraged with friends requests from people I like and people I don't like.

I have also been getting a ton of requests from people that I have to go back to my yearbook to remember who the hell they were/are!

Here's a typical email.

"Dear Person,

Oh my god!

How are you?!?!?!

Isn't Facebook amazing?

I am doing well... let me know what you are up to!

Smelmooo"

I am not sure how to be friendlier to people that I forgot even existed.

No joke.

I know. I don't need to be friends with the little sister of the person I had one class with in high school and wouldn't recognize if i crashed into them on the street.

This is what the "ignore" button is for. No hard feelings and you never, ever have to see them again to deal with it if they are crazy enough to hold it against you.

The button is there for a reason - no use in neglecting it!

Amen, LA, except that it's trickier when you work in the same building as the people who make the friend request. Then "ignore" gets a little tougher.

Also... if you ignore... They can still request you again in the future... you aren't forever ignoring them. Those with long memories would get offended. :)

facebook scares the crap out of me. I have no idea who any of these people are, and the ones I do know, I dont want following me around on the internet.
