I opted against buying one for my boss who considers me his assistant every day of the year EXCEPT administrative professionals day. I don't consider him my boss today. He loses. He gets nothing. Good day sir.

I'm convinced that my staff members spend their days plotting against me. I'm just always happy to survive the day.

There's still 45 minutes left in the day though, maybe they're just waiting to surprise me?
I neither gave nor received any cards, and I'm fine with that. I sort of agree with SZG, although I try to express more appreciation to the people I supervise than just the paycheck, and enjoy feeling appreciated by my boss in other ways besides the paycheck. But I do sort of only express my appreciation to my boss by showing up, so maybe I should've sent a card.
