January 28, 2006

PISCATAWAY, NJ - Junior guard Quincy Douby netted a game-high 19 points as Rutgers held No. 22 Louisville scoreless in the final three minutes of the second half to register an impressive 65-56 victory over the Cardinals before a raucous, sold-out crowd of 8,096 at the RAC on Saturday afternoon.

The victory over the Cardinals marked the Scarlet Knights' first victory over a ranked opponent this season. It is Rutgers' eighth win over a top-25 foe under fifth-year head coach Gary Waters and the 25th win over a ranked opponent in school history.
